Gently healing of wounds...
We all know the social aspect of volunteering can have positive effects on one's well-being. When carefully selected, some unique volunteer groups offer activities which can assist in the healing and rejuvenation of wounded souls. Whether you're a child whom has been the victim of bullying, or an adult overwhelmed with employment stress; nature / animal / humanity focused projects not only give back to the World, but give back to the giver.. Takes time to find these specific organizations and commit to their activates, but the life-changing effects are eternal. The healing, love, compassion, and kindness found, becomes part of who you are. Enjoy giving, enjoy receiving, and enjoy sharing life with like-minded souls.
Volunteering for youth fun
On a personal note, I (creator of this site), have volunteered about 1,500 hours helping children at activity camps. Designed for children whom rarely or never experience fun outdoor activities, many organizations offer help. Patiently teaching challenged youth how to safely experience healthy activities was personally lifechanging for me.

Whether you have a unique skill to offer online, or seeking free advice / tutoring etc., the possibilities through virtual volunteering are endless. Volunteering via your computer or phone from the comfort of your home, is a wonderful option for those whom wish to help others, but have limited time, or unable to be hands-on due to physical or transportation limitations. Seniors in particular have a lifetime of experience which benefits developing young minds. A little like grandchildren whom plan to transplant a young tree in their garden, but not sure what precautions to take with the roots. A connection to someone with this experience, can be joyfully resolved via a video chat with a helpful volunteer.
